Mixing

Mixing/Mastering - What's The Difference?separate this process from creation - should be able to be done by a third partyUnderstanding these two processes and techniques is fundamental to producing successful and quality tracks.Mixing is the stage after recording where you blend individual tracks together, while mastering is the the final stage of audio production where you polish the entire mix to prepare for distribution. Mixing is when an engineer carves and balances the separate tracks in a session to sound good when played together.Mixing and mastering are both difficult to understand and perform at a high level. Mastering is typically a more simple or straightforward process than mixing, but that doesn't mean that it is easier or deserves less attention. Mixing and mastering both require their own separate set of skills and thought processes.
